Midnight Blue and Red  Kimono style jacket in 100% Natural Eri Peace silk. Big leaf prints are elaborately printed on the beautiful blue base. These kimonos have a fluid silhouette and can be used as an overdress or coat. They hang loose with drop shoulders and wide sleeves. Slow fashion at its best these are suitable as formals, and easily converts your  day look to an evening wear.

Our Organic Silk Kimono is crafted from Eri silk, a strong, dense, and highly durable wild silk. This natural fibre is biodegradable and has a low environmental impact. Eri silk is 100% hypoallergenic and has thermal properties that keep you cool in summer and warm in winter—perfect for all seasons.

Our artisan at Aeshaane practice “slow silk” farming, where the silk is carefully harvested from empty cocoons only after the moths have fully transformed and flown away. This makes Eri silk both ethical and cruelty-free, often called “peace” or “vegan” silk.

Each kimono is a handmade, artisanal creation. Our local artisans use eco-friendly, sustainable methods for spinning and weaving. Each piece takes at least a week to make, not including the time for harvesting and hand-printing.

 

Product Care– With a little love and care, your organic silk kimono will last you for years. We celebrate re-use, swapping and encourage you to repair whenever possible.

Dry cleaning is the safest option

Gentle steam iron on the reverse side or with a cloth over it

Do not wrap in plastic, as silk needs to breathe

Each purchase comes in a recycled bag for storage.
